Yangnyum Dwenjang (Seasoned Bean Paste)

Dwenjang or ssamjang you buy from the market is usually too bland, so I add a couple of things to spice it up. I used ssamjang above, but I'm much more of a dwenjang fan. Wrap your favorite Korean beef in lettuce and add a little bit of this mixture. To eat your beef true Korean style, add a slice of raw jalapeno and garlic inside your lettuce wrap. Note - if you eat raw garlic, your breath will be kickin for the next 2 days.

Ingredients:

1/4 cup Dwenjang or Ssamjang
1 jalapeno
1/2 onion
1 tsp minced garlic
1 stalk green onion
1 tablespoon sesame oil

Directions:

Chop the jalapeno, onion, and green onion into little pieces. Mix in the dwenjang or ssamjang with the sesame oil.
